May 17, 2006 - Jeffrey A. Larson has been named Director, Nuclear Quality Assurance for Invensys Process Systems. Larson will assume the leadership role for nuclear quality assurance processes involving groups that serve the nuclear industry. Within Invensys Process Systems, these include Triconex safety instrumented systems, Foxboro process automation, Foxboro Measurements and Instruments, project operations, customer satisfaction, and Invensys Process Systems China. Larson will report to David Golden, Global Director of Quality for Invensys Process Systems.
Larson, based in Irvine, California, brings more than 25 years of nuclear power industry experience to his new position. He joins Invensys from the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station in California, where he held management positions in Procurement Quality within the Nuclear Oversight and Assessment Division. His previous experience includes positions at the Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant near Sacramento, California, Nine Mile Point in Oswego, New York and the Connecticut Yankee Plant at Haddam Neck, Connecticut.
A graduate of the United States Navy Nuclear Power Program, Larson is an industry Certified Lead Auditor under ANSI N45.2.23. Larson also serves the nuclear industry through various working groups. He recently served as the vice chairman of the Nuclear Utility Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC), and chairman of the NUPIC Nuclear Fuel Committee. He also served as chairman of the Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Affinity Group, and has developed nuclear industry procurement guidelines for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). An expert in nuclear procurement and acceptance processes, Larson has delivered seminars and workshops nationwide and worked with nuclear industry suppliers and quality assurance programs both in the United States and internationally.
